KPhoenix has been part of the SMW hacking community for almost a year now, and has signed up at multiple boards learning more about SMW hacking.

Since beginning to hack Super Mario World, KPhoenix has always been working on something or another pertaining to a Super Mario World rom. Before ever hearing of the Acmlm's Board, he started on a hack called SMW: Chumash's Rampage. This hack was never finished due to a loss of interest. After finding out about the Ice Board, he became more involved and attempted to create another hack, but with a small amount of knowledge on SMW hacking. After joining SMW Central, he submitted his hack, SM: The Mushroom Kingdom Invasion, in August of 2006. It had gotten a poor rating, but he didn't quit hacking.
After this failure, he met up with a SMW hacker called waverace123, and made a deal, for waverace123 to make KPhoenix a website, and for KPhoenix to help waverace with his hack, Mario World 500. Unfortunately, the hack didn't work out and the website wasn't made. Later on, they started another hack called Super Mario in - The Castle of Time. It was submitted to SMW Central in October of 2006. The hack remains a demo and is to be completed by waverace123.
KPhoenix decided to go solo, and to make his own hack. His new hack was based off of Pac's SMW GFX hack, and was called Super Mario Bros 3 II: The Whistle Theif, meaning to be a sequel to SMB3. Because of a computer crash, the progress of this hack was halted. KPhoenix then continued it until around January 2007, when he decided to not finish the hack.
He has learned much from experience and help from members at SMW Central, Ice Board, and Acmlm's Board, and is contributing to the hacking community. He recently released a hex tutorial for hacking SMW, and has created a bunch of patches and submitted them to SMW Central.
He had been working on another project around the same time as he started Super Mario Bros 3 II: The Whistle Theif, which was the Laser Suit. It is now a fully crafted powerup, and can be found at SMW Central for download.
As KPhoenix has now lost most interest in ROM hacking, he still is around on boards such as Acmlm's Board II, Ice Board, and SMW Central's forums.
