Such a shame. I should probably go fix that, I guess.

I've been considering replacing this script with something more like Wordpress just to make my life easier. It's pretty obvious I'm never really going to finish this, though maybe I could at least port over the scheme.

I've been putting some new effort into a Link's Awakening script recently. I don't know what I really plan on doing with it, but whatever.
That's about it, really. My laptop imploded a few weeks ago making it hard to do much of anything else, and combine that with the whole mess of other crap recently and, well...
I also got a Twitter account for some absurd reason, so you can follow me at @xkeepah. Mostly for details that aren't worth sharing with 4 IRC channels, I guess.
Long time no update! If it weren't for the fact that Xk made this I probably would switch to WordPress or something. Eh. Even then I'd kind of need content. :P
Not much to say, really.
I have a TF2 server now so you should go check that out. And donate to help lighten the bill for me.
Other than that I've been really boring and haven't done crap save for simfiles that need finishing. Woo~
Well, a lot of time has passed and no updates here. Huh. I blame a lot of things really, so I'll mention what's up here.
For starters, Team Fortress 2 is a timewaster for me. I usually play on the Nursefags server, which can be a total blast given the right people playing. If you are up for play I can play on any other server as well so long as it is fun.
Next, Audiosurf has also eaten a lot of my time.
There is also work. I kind of need that for money.
As a whole, I haven't been real productive. Simfiles haven't really been made in a while from me and anything else I haven't even... given a try. In fact the last thing I actually did was
and even then it was for laughs.
Best MIX is starting up again so that may get me to make another good simfile sometime. We'll see.
So far it is just going to be a basic page with a songlist and download link once it is finished but expect new songs added to it every now and then. This is basically what The Random Pack was going to be but now that I've actually improved my simfile skills this is going to be a much much better pack.
I'll update it a lot more to look a bit more festive but for now it is a placeholder. Once I update it I'll link it to my Downloads and Projects sidebar thingy. And add links to places you should visit. Because there are a lot.

Basically a bunch of sims I've had lying around that I never got to finishing up or not release for whatever reason I was planning them for but never did do so.
Songlist:
Luca Turilli - Demonheart
Mr.T - DUE TOMORROW
Eiko Shimamiya - Higurashi no Naku Koro ni
ALI PROJECT - Kinjirareta Asobi (TV Size)
The Hilltop Hoods - Recapturing the Vibe
Billy Talent - Sympathy
Smiley - Utopia
SUZAKU VS. TAG - VANESSA -Chapter Tensei-
These range from being old (Kinjirareta Asobi is I think 2 years old) to very recent (VANESSA was used in a DDR simfile contest about a month ago). Some have bad graphics, some have no graphics. Some are OGG, some are still MP3. Some are good, some are eh, and DUE TOMORROW is stupid why would you play it? Some have all difficulties, some don't.
Chances are I won't be reworking any of these but if I do they will be better than they are presented here.
To me, these are either horrible or good but just not my cup of tea to finish/keep for something good. Enjoy what is here I guess. Or not. I don't care.

It's just to get one chart out at least. Only a 9 footer but it is a fun fun chart I think.
I'll probably end up revamping it later on when I feel like it, but I think it'd mostly be for completing the other charts and new graphics. This works for now at least instead of making it to where you have nothing from me. :|
Released.
Download FCEUX 2.1. All the files (including scripts) are in it; the one you want for this particular one is SMB-Mouse.lua (though there are others).
Drop comments here. I mean I guess you can put them here, but ... really, why? Jul loves you.
But hey, 14 days isn't bad for "soon", right?

Made a chart to this. 12 footer, mostly due to some 16th runs at 185 BPM and 8th note jumpstreams. The Heavy won't be as hard.
Also,

From UNDERGROUND MAKINA CONNECTIONZ vol.2, this is one of my favorite tracks on the album (one of the reasons I bought the album) and I felt like simming it. An 8 footer, I tried replicating a DDR-style with it. Hopefully it turned out well.
How the hell do I have over 15000 hits!?
Anyway, I haven't done much. Finished a challenge chart to Sympathy by Billy Talent and a heavy to Baseline by Quarashi.
Also graphics.

Just need to cut the song and sim it.
Hopefully I'll get going on it soon.
There's just nothing to update about.
Well, okay, I guess there's a few things happening over on Jul...
For one, the 2009 Mosts, a few ancient schemes, and a bunch of other things.
There just hasn't been much about me to write about.
Playlist link, most of you have probably seen it.
Nothing of particular interest right now.
For those wondering why I haven't updated, again I haven't done much other than play Amplitude recently and delay me watching things that I probably should be watching or working on things to add here.
However, I hope to get some things done soon. The DDR Encore contest is in Round 2 and so far the competition is really close. My pad pack has not been worked on but after the contest I plan on adding the simfiles I made for that into the pack. That means a total of about 25-30 songs in the end.
So... yeah...
If you've been hiding under a rock, at least.
20 is almost ready.
This is far from the fastest out there... just on TetrisConcept, this would rank #18. But it's a personal best, so...
Not on YouTube or something similar because a) it's over 11 minutes, and b) Arika has a nasty habit of sending takedown notices to any clone video. I don't want my account suspended.
I know the quality is pretty bad for the filesize. I'm looking into better ways to convert to FLV.
It's time for a look back at what was. Or rather, wasn't.
The Hall of Failures, 2008 Edition.
In other news, nothing of interest. I messed around a bit with Faria, but nothing worth reporting on here.
Some of you already know it started, but for those that don't I recently decided to enter a simfile competition that is going on at DDR Encore. While you can't enter now since the qualifier deadline is done (and those sims released) you can at least watch... if you register.
My file did well enough to advance me with no problems. Yay! I feel happy and relieved. I wish luck to the rest of the competitors and hope this turns into a great contest.
While I'm posting I guess I should say to check out the other DDR Encore simfiles there. You may find something you like.
Hope you all had a good Christmas/whatever you celebrate.
See you in 2009. Naturally, no updates until then.
Yeah, no updates still. Haven't really done much again. Work has distracted me.
However, I just noticed I had over 8000 views. How did that happen and who is all doing so?
Oh well. Merry Christmas everyone!
Old news if you pay attention.
All of the data is in this thread at tasvideos.
Basically, you fly around and dodge red bullets. It's the prototype for something more major, and based on its addictiveness I hope I can duplicate that in a larger space fighter. Not bad for only having boxes and lines for graphics, eh?
Working (i.e., WIP) version available. Contents are volatile, so beware!
I know I'm falling a bit behind on updates again. I plan on making a generalized "Lua garden" for scripts like this, so keep your eyes peeled and watch this space. To that end, I really need to implement some other features, like preview/post editing/pages. Yikes.
%20[!]-63.png)
This is an Lua script for Mach Rider.
%20[!]-64.png)
You can toggle between 'adjusted units' (kM/h, different RPM metric) and the game's internal unitry.
%20[!]-73.png)
You can also toggle between automatic and manual shift (by editing the script, at least). Auto will automatically shift upwards and downwards at certain levels to try to keep you going as fast as possible.
This was pretty much the work of just one day. You can download the Lua script for Mach Rider, although since it's still a WIP like everything it's likely to change. Naturally, requires x_functions library as well.
As per a mindnight musing a bit ago, I've been working on a new Lua scriptlet that'll never be finished, as per the usual. This one's a bit different from the previous "functional" ones, and is mostly just meant as a way for me to learn how to poke SMB1 before starting a bigger project I had in mind.
%20(PRG0)%20[!]-43.png)
Pushing up will make the game act as if Mario has gone into a pipe/fallen off the bottom of a bonus/whatever, warping him to wherever the game says it should with a random entrance effect (for testing). The HUD just shows some information about it.
%20(PRG0)%20[!]-42.png)
There are 5 actual entry methods... this one is one of the garbage ones.
Sorry about the lack of updates for those still reading this. I've been rather busy working on things, regarding Stepmania, music, real life, and the Internet.
My pad pack is coming closer to fruition. So far 20 simfiles are already final (as in they are going in no matter what) and I have a few more ideas for songs to add. Should go without a hitch soon.
I also started messing around in OpenMPT. It is quite easy to use, so long as you learn the elements of a song and have samples. Maybe after a few songs I'll start posting some here for you to listen. Chances are it'll consist of hardcore/gabber/trance/speedcore mostly until I learn more advanced things, but it should be good... hopefully.
I don't have much else to post, so my YouTube page has more videos. Enjoy, I guess...
Thread about this on TASvideos
YouTube video (features a lot of debug output, though)

So while this may not be quite on Sunday (yes, I decided Sunday was better), well... now you know why :)
It isn't quite finished yet, but most of the basic functionality is done. Hopefully I can be finished with this soon :D
Mark my goddamn words.
I'll probably make updates resume on Saturdays, in order to help with keeping them on time. Thursday was a pretty weird (and rather impromptu) decision...
Other things I should do this are adding some mechanism of pages (as the backlog of posts is kind of, er, big) and post editing (d'oh), so expect those later.
Of course, it would be a billion times more rewarding to work on if people used the system. As it is, nobody even knows it exists.
Maybe I should add a ticker to the top of Jul or something.
Okay, so simple enough. Completely valid code (minus an unrelated error in the CSS), 4.01, all that jazz.

Okay, fine, mystery space, whatever. It isn't working like I want. I'll try adding a border to see if there's some weird shit breaking somewhere.

Somehow, the "margin: 1em" style to a completely different element is getting applied to both divs, breaking all of them completely.
Seriously, fuck web design. The W3C can shove their "standards" up their asses.
(By the way, it breaks the same way on every browser. Ironic.)
Ar Tonelico.
I'll get back to things sooner or later. I've been putting too many things off for far too long, and it's infuriating to me every time I think about it.
...Wow, I really don't post much. Might as well post something now to make up for that.
I suppose beyond my bloody laptop's hinge failing (and forcing me to send it away this Christmas >_<), the most exciting things I'm legally allowed to tell you guys is probably just my SMW hack, again.
More levels, more graphics, more ASM. Woo.
Some graphics Some More Graphics Brrr... Icy Graphics Autoscroller stuff, chances are you've already seen this More Youtube goodness
In the past week I've been working on a bunch of simfiles and finishing up ones that have been waiting to be finished for a looooong time.
I may have another simfile ready to go later on in the day, given I can get a background video or not. We'll see.
In the meantime I'll let you know right now that I may release a bunch of simfiles as a pack with a few courses. I mean 16 simfiles I have that I haven't finished and released yet, so I might as well do that with a few extras.
Also my Der Wald sim has an Edit difficulty now.
Finally,

I hated the purefoon courses that were in Japanese Stepmania packs, so I made a parody of them (if you can say that) that is complete and utter bullshit. You can't pass. You can't.
Things have been a tiny bit hectic here, though! Vacation, for one, and trying to take care of ever-developing messes all over the rest of the damn place. Nightmare, I tell you.
However, shit's settling down, so (maybe) you can expect some updates sooner or later. It'd be nice, at least.
I guess I should post something to make this worthwhile.

Song: Soul On Fire
Artist: L.E.D.-G vs GUHROOVY fw NO+CHIN
Genre: Loud Mixture Ragga
I posted it on Jul but didn't post it here like I probably should do from now on. Oh well. At least it is an update.
Sorry, I'm dead.
No update this week.
Might as well just get it out of the way now before I go "Oh, oops, looks like I forgot it again."
Apparently we are all on a different server now.
If things break you can blame that.
As far as I know everything on my end (cpu13.rustedlogic.net) should still work fine considering I used barebones html for my subpages. If anything does happen to end up breaking let me know and I'll see if I can get it resolved.
Also I haven't really done anything at all this week. Perhaps I'll get a course done by the end of this week if all goes well.
Yeah, it's falling apart. So much for that schedule, then, bleh.
In other news, I made a graph that details IRC activity over a few channels I frequent. Kind of interesting, I guess.
I really haven't done pretty much anything this week.
Remember the whole weekly update? Yeah, uh... Gunbound happened. Oops.
Surprise.
Hello, my dear loyal pupils! Your overlord calls you to read this blog entry, there has been some all sorts of action in the forums!
General Well, at least we figured out the origin of the Awesome Face. And of course, a hot poll about the presidents of the USA. Who is going to win, Obama? Meh, I don't really care, but you should go and drop your opinion there. Also, food! Disgusting or not? Bananas give me goosebumps, but fish... Mmmm~
Pothole Field Do you like to smile? I think you do. Too bad, you'll suck at this game. We had the ultimate showdown of ultimate destiny. I would have won that, if they had listened to Super Mario's Star Theme.
Action McNews Network News! Economy is failing, big time, so I hope things get steadier soon. Ike fights for hi- Oh. Hurricanes and tropical storms, not overused Nintendo characters.
Story/Simbattle Really dead/quiet down here, but at least one or two "active" threads.
Games Oh what a lively forum! Wii ISO Loader + Drama, all-in-one pack! SHAKE SHAKE, says Wario! Or maybe not just shake, something more dark and sinister than usual. If you haven't seen this, you don't know what awesome means. Awesome. Hmm. I am Megaman, I'm blue and cyaaaan~
Art BG probably doesn't know any other moves... Or he's being lazy. Moore is awesome, General Shyguy too. Also, Sprite Doodles.
Computers / Technology CDs are good for shuriken training, at least. Do you have an battery issue? If yes, share your knowledge here, the issue is still present.
That's enough for today! Don't forget to post too, activity is gewd :3
Panda out.
Hehe, finally got my blog access. Thank you, Xkeeper.
So, welcome to Pandaren's patch of stuff. Going to rant about stuff. Games and forum, yo.
Head there, now!
...For giving my somewhere reliable to post new/blog/etc stuff. At any rate, this is basically going to be a ROM Hacking blog mostly, interspersed with Opinion, rhetoric, and important posts.
Something simple... or is it?
Download
Thanks to Xkeeper for a lot (as in all) of this.
The site now uses a new URL format, so any post I make I can link individually. This is great if you need to only show one post to someone, but I see it mostly for me linking to the latest post. You can now add comments to each post I make, making it a lot better to see what gets people interested and hearing feedback.
Advertisements have been added as well to help pay for the hosting which I don't pay for out of my pocket. This was my decision to add them because I am using this host as a privilege for free and want to help out.
The text boxes also look better.
Ok that is this for this update because there isn't anything else other than saying join this simfile pack and help us get it off the ground.
I finally decided to just port the damn thing over to Rusted Logic's front page.
So, now it uses the same engine cpubasic13's and my own pages run off of.
Now, I wonder... how long until somebody notices? :P
I'd make it blink, but...
Yeah. That might be a bit too much...
Anyway, MiniSM X, the codename for Hiryuu's simfile site in accordance with sticking the letter X on the end of everything, actually got started. I'm amazed too. So far it's slightly database driven, mostly built off of Jul X's source (if you couldn't, you know, tell). Most of the board guts have been ripped out aside from what's useful... considering how finished Jul X was is, that's about everything! ha ha wit.
The far more noticable update is here -- cleaner URLs and comments. You can thank cpubasic13 for the last one. It seems to work well enough, at least, heh.
...
Aside from that, nothing else to really update on. Surprise, I guess.
Added a page for courses, both one song and full fledged ones.
That'll get me motivated to make more.
SO

Have a course that is on the new page! Yay!
I'M ON A ROLL!
Within minutes I altered the colors to be more manageable to my tastes. Hopefully you all like it too!
Also if you haven't please download and try my Mungyodance 3 extras. I've hade a few people play them but I haven't heard much about them overall. I recently uploaded Spit On You for an extra so be sure to check that out too.
I plan on adding another page of just random song .crs files, just like the MGD3 extras. Only thing is I will have to supply some sort of link to any simfile I course for that there, so it'd be a bit more crazy for you people.
Well maybe I'll categorize them by packs or something. I know I have a few Foonmix ones I could put in that category. I'll figure it out.
Yay I finally added a banner to the site to make it more professional I guess. However, I will say I need to change this here color scheme to match it.
Which I'll attempt now. I'll keep you posted I guess.
Nothing much in terms of updates. I updated my YouTube with a bunch of videos of me padding Mungyodance 3 stuff.
Other than that I've been lazy and haven't done much else. Perhaps I should start getting some sims done or something...
Welcome Lua scripting as the newest member of the Things I Can Do list.
Aside from that, nothing. Literally, nothing. I have accomplished nothing else of value this week.
Wonderful.
No updates in a while, I know. Have some filler I guess.
Anyway, not much to update on. For one, I've started a group simfile project and hopefully people that are interested will actually help instead of let it rot. So far it seems to be doing the latter...
Two, I released a new simfile of Gratitude. It is another experimental one but eh, I managed to cut it decently I guess.
Three, there is no three.
Four,
This picture by this man is awesome. I keep a medallion of his likeness around my neck at all times. It gives me courage.
Very few things actually got done this week, much to the surprise of nobody:
I also added the Adsense banners back after having them off for several months.
Hopefully next week will actually have more interesting things, eh?
Nothing much to really update on, I guess. Tina 3 has had a few small upgrades.. it outputs in ANSI color, now, among some other small features. Hiryuu's simfile project hasn't actually gone anywhere for the time being, either.
Disgaea 2 did come, however, and you could argue that it's been what's sucking away most of my will to work on things... and you'd probably be right, heh.
I haven't added a banner at the top I know, but I did something else.
To the right I added a Downloads and Projects section. Basically whatever I'm working on or have worked on will be over there.
Right now, it is simply Mungyodance 3 Extras. I figured I should make it easier for people to download my Extras for that.
What else will go there? Simfiles, 4 song courses, stuff like that. Right now though it'll be pretty bare, but hey, a start is a start!
I have got to come up with more creative titles.
Anyway, not much done to the site here. I need to make it more of the blue I'd enjoy sometime but right now being 2am... yeah, not happening tonight.
Anyway, I'm going to start messing with simfiles soon. Making new ones and such perhaps or just coursing some. I do know I will make some for working right in MGD3 (I already got Extreme Dishwasher Race as an Another chart and it works great for the gimmick) alongside some extras for that too, but I'll also do some basic sims as soon as I get the motivation to do so. Doing graphics when you can't draw is hard.
You know, maybe I'll make a banner for the top of the site. Time to get creative... when I wake up.
Tina3 got some updates a while ago. It now tracks activity in the IRC channels it's on, though I still have to add support for some things. In addition, it now also tracks line counts... though it also penalizes those who think they can spam their way into the top :)
As for MiniSM: not really that much. Recently, all of Hiryuu's simfiles were parsed, though they won't last long there (only temporary). More importantly, a pretty nasty bug was fixed involving UTF-8 byte order marking in text files; this would give no title for some simfiles, and has been partially fixed. Though a better idea would be to just rewrite the entire thing from the ground up (and is, in fact, something to do later)...
...
As for Shitburst, that would be a joke page I'm making to basically poke fun at the whole Web 2.0 idea. I loathe the idea of gradients everywhere, shiny buttons and shit, and all of that other crap. Especially starbursts. I don't expect it to go anywhere other than being a joke page there (and it won't ever be finished either, by design).
Anyway, the MiniSM update was required to prepare stuff for the other simfile-related website I'm half-working on. More details on that as the idea develops, though considering how long it's been since I decided to start working on it...
I added another command (or two) today:
~tz [timezone]: Current Timezone's time.
~mem: Current memory usage.
Xkeeper> ~mem
_Tina_> Memory usage: 273.6kB
...273 KB isn't too bad for my own IRC client, really.
I keep forgetting I have this space! Better start putting this to good use!
Anyway, reminder for those that do Stepmania-related things, two things are happening this weekend that I suggest checking out.
1. Mungyodance 3 is released this Sunday! The very-delayed project is coming close to completion and will be ready for play real soon. At release it will also have a simfile download containing just the simfiles for r21/Stepmania enjoyment, however many of the things in MGD3 that are exclusive (such as EX songs) won't work like in MGD3 and there will be no videos for those players.
2. BEST-mix entries are due in by the end of this Saturday. That means if you are a simfiler and haven't entered but want to you better hurry! There is no prize from what I can tell but you should at least have some fun with it.
As for other simfile projects I keep an eye on, I haven't heard much from those, but once I do I'll post about them.
OH! Also I just uploaded my Mungyodance courses. If you already have the simfiles this will be good enough to hold you over. If you don't... er, you can wait haha.
I just added and fixed a few things... it should give a message instead of just dumping the poster back to the index, now. Not much use, I guess.
I'm going to be working on a page for Hiryuu soon, involving his Stepmania simfiles. I'll keep you guys updated on how that goes.
HEY NEW SIMFILE TIME! :D
Figured I'd put this to more use, so...
Song: Der Wald
Artist: エレハモニカ
Genre: Dark Opera
BPM: 160
Figured I would get this out of the way. Hehe.
Ok, after this CSS didn't seem to work right and my Internet kept crapping out, I have this placeholder look for now courtesy of Xkeeper. This will work for the time being as I try to figure out what in the CSS does what. As you can tell, I hate CSS. A lot.
Anyway, guess I should mention what I would be using this for. This will, for the most part, be about music games, mostly Stepmania and such. Either I'll post something of my creation (courses or simfiles) or I'll let you all know about a simfile pack/update/theme/etc. that I had the chance to play and whatnot. It'll probably have more random things posted but then again I don't have much to contribute. After all, this is a first time for me.
So...
Yes. It is mostly to see if things are working proper and whatnot. As you can see, I have this going at a slow pace. Right now it looks like Xkeeper's layout, but after a bit of tweaking with the .css (oh how I loathe thee) it will be simpler and different I guess...
I did some reshuffling of the code for this page today; it now is a lot more "modulized" (or whatever), so it's a lot easier to port back and forth/fix. Adding a new user and site is as easy as changing an ID, editing the layotu code, and saving it to another domain. Simple. Much moreso than I was expecting, even.
If this gets enough use, I eventually plan on adding support for pages (instead of having all of them on one page), and maybe some other things. Theoretically it can also be used as a "module", by simply setting the header and footer to nothing... I'm not sure how well that would work (since I obviously haven't tried it), but it's theoretically possible.
The funny thing is this is more functional than Rusted Logic ever got, although if this keeps up you can pretty much rest assured that it's going to become the engine Rusted Logic uses too.
To that end, welcome cpubasic13 to the Rusted Logic family, heh.
Yeah, this is just a prototype. I guess you could say I got tired of waiting so long for myself to finish Rusted Logic that I went and made a miniature version of the page, heh.
It's nothing special (it just has a very basic post new page and takes raw HTML), but it at least formats two newlines into </p><p> for an easier time formatting. One linebreak isn't really changed (maybe later I could do that, but for now it allows me to insert tables and such without having to remove all the newlines)...
Nothing like smilies yet (though I'm considering it), comments, or even multiple posters or pages; just a raw page listing the contents of one table in the database. Very simplistic and barebones.
But if nothing else, it's a home I can easily update, which is always a good thing.
